Vitamins Guide : Effects & Sources - Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is inportant in the prevention of cancer and also cardiovascular disease. It helps in circulation and is also needed for tissue repair.
Those suffering from Premenstrual syndrome and fibrocystic disease of the breast can aslo consider conuming Vitamin E. Not only this, it also encourages sperm production in men and maintain healthy nerves and muscles while strengthening the capillary walls.
Studies have also shown that consumation of Vitamin E can slow the profressoin of Alzheimer's Diease and reduce prostate cancer!
To a cell, Vitamin E helps prevent damage to it by inhibiting the oxidation of lipids and the protects against the production of free radicals as well as protect other fat soluble vitamins from destruction by oxygen.
For those who want to look younger, Vitamin E is also a good way to prevent aging spots and have been tested to be more productive than aspirin and does not cause any side effects like heart attacks after prolong usage.
Deficiency Intake :
Lack of E can cause and result in the destruction of red blood cells and also the nerves. Other signs could include infertility ( Both male and female ), menstrual problems, miscarriages and also uterine degeneration.
Low levels of this vitamin can also lead to breast cand bowel cancer.

Cold-pressed vegetable oils, dark leafy vegetables, brown rice, milk, alfalfa etc.
IMPORTANT NOTE :
There are several forms of Vitamin E and it is best to consume the natural form of Viatmin E as it is over 60% more active than the synthic type. Which means you need to take more than twice the amounts of a synthetic Vitamin E to have the same effect as the natural.
Natural Forms of Vitamin E is known as "d-alpha-tocopherol".
Synthetic Forms of Vitamin E is called "dl-alpha-tocopherol". ( NOTE the "d" and the "dl" ! Don't buy the wrong one! )
