Amino Acids Guide - Serine

Serine is needed for the metabolism of fats and fatty acids, growth of the muscles and the maintenance of a proper immune system.,br>
It is also a component of brain proteins and part of the protective myelin sheaths which covers and protects the nerval fibers.

It can be produced by the body in the pressence of glycine but this process is in need of sufficient amounts of Vitamin B3 and B6 before it can be carried out.
