Amino Acids Guide - Methionine

An amino acid that assists in the breakdown of fats and tus prevent fat buildup in the liver and arteries. This aid in blood flow to the brain, heart and kidneys.

In the digestive system, Methionine, helps in the detoxification of harmful agents like lead and other heavy metals that are harmful to the body, and is a powerful antioxidant and a source of sulphur which can de-activate free radicals and also prevent skin and nail problems.

The more the amount of toxic materials in the body, the more the need for methionine increases, but the body cannot develop this amino acid and have to be consumed from food sources like eggs, fish, garlic, onions, seeds, soybeans and yogurt.
