Amino Acids Guide - Alanine
This Amino Acid boosts the immune system by increasing the size of the thymus gland which produces T cells ( T lymphocytes ). T Cells are vital components which can retard the growth of tumers and cancer cells and thus effectively fighting against these diseases.
Also Arginine is helpful in treating sterility in men and can be found in high concentrates in the skin and connective tissue, making it helpful for repairing damaged tissue.
This amino acid is also essential for muscle metabolism, nitrogen balance, muscle mass increase and also reduction of body fat.
Although this Amino Acid can be produced by the body, infants may not be able to keep up with the requirements by the body and are suggested to take supplemental Arginine. However people with viral infections like herpes should not take in additional Arginine as it facilitates certain viral growth as well.
NOTE that bacteria and viruses are different and this applies to Bacteria infections and Viral Infections.
